A settlement has been reached with International Shoppes, LLC and Diplomatic Duty Free Shops of New York, Inc. (“International Shoppes” or “Defendants”) in a class action lawsuit. This case is about the cyberattack on International Shoppes' computer systems that occurred in November 2023 (the “Data Incident”). Certain files that contained personal information were accessed. These files may have contained personal information such as names; addresses; birth dates; Social Security numbers; driver’s license and passport information; financial account numbers; and health information.
The lawsuit is called Peter Lazar and Sheba Khan v. International Shoppes, LLC and Diplomatic Duty Free Shops of New York, Inc., Index No. 623891/2025. It is pending in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Nassau County (the “Litigation”). International Shoppes denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the Litigation.
If you received notice, International Shoppes' records indicate that you are a Class Member, and entitled to benefits under the Settlement. You may have received a previous notice directly from International Shoppes.

Opt Out of the Settlement | Class Members can choose to opt out of the Settlement and receive no benefit or payment. This option allows the Class Member to sue, continue to sue, or be part of another lawsuit against the Defendants related to the legal claims resolved by this Settlement. Object to the Settlement and/or Attend a Hearing | If Class Members do not opt out of the Settlement, they may object to it by writing to the Court about why the Class Member doesn’t like the Settlement. Class Members may also ask the Court for permission to speak about their objection at the Final Approval Hearing. Do Nothing | Unless Class Members opt out of the Settlement, they are automatically part of the Settlement.
